Go therefore, make disciples of
all the nations; baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and Holy Sprit, and teach them
to observe all the commands I gave you, and know that I am with
you always; yes, to the end of time.
When Jesus commanded his disciples to do this, He wasn't just
talking to the men and women that were standing with Him at
His ascension. He was talking to everyone who would someday
profess to be Christian. Going forth and making
disciples of all nations is just as much our charge
to keep as it was theirs. This website's intended purpose is
to invite people into discipleship with Jesus Christ.
ABOUT THE PAGE
I like to think of christianworksandwords.com as an online
mission telling salvation's story. The website currently has
three pages.
Publications – A compilation of
scholarly papers that I have written as a student in seminary. I am also inviting my fellow students to submit papers they
have written for various class assignments. This includes
papers on various subjects such as theology, scripture study,
spiritual disciplines, and physiological Christian counseling. While I do not endorse every idea expressed in these papers,
I do encourage everyone to participate in open dialogue on
the Christian Faith. My feeling is that an active Christian
with an orthodox (correct) theology is better than a lukewarm Christian any day.
Sojourners – Expresses my concern
to our Christian response to illegal and legal immigration
in the United States. This is by far one of the overwhelming
tasks of Christians in the Southwestern United States where immigration from Mexico is a predominate issue.
Recovery – A mission project that
I have worked for years to develop. It involves a plan
to build a recovery center for men with addictions. It is based on a 90-day recovery program through Biblical study
and the 12-step programs common throughout recovery programs.
Talk To Me – Please respond
to my e-mail address. I welcome dialogue and comments on these
and many other subjects. Your e-mail could be published if
it reflects Christian thoughts and attitudes and does not
include pictures (pictures take up space).
